The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation is dedicated to serving people afflicted with various forms of thalassemia, most notably the major form of this genetic blood disease, Cooley’s anemia/thalassemia major.

The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) provides advocacy, education and other services to improve the lives of all people affected by rare diseases.

The Penn-CHOP Blood Center for Patient Care and Discovery is one of the few blood cell disorders centers in the United States designed to provide the full spectrum of research and clinical care for non-malignant hematologic blood cell disorders.
