Michelle Badejo is a certified child life specialist with a background in pediatric nursing and palliative care. In her role as a child life specialist in the Center for Fetal Diagnosis & Treatment (CFDT), Special Delivery Unit (SDU), and Neonatal/Infant Intensive Care Unit (N/IICU), Michelle supports families during outpatient prenatal visits in the CFDT and throughout their stay on the SDU. For mothers staying on the SDU, Michelle offers therapeutic activities for coping and distraction, as well as opportunities for families to stay connected. Michelle also offers support and age appropriate education for siblings throughout the birth and/or hospitalization of their new sibling, and the transition of bringing baby home.
