About Ngwi Tayong, MPH
Ngwi Tayong is a Clinical Research Coordinator working at Clinical Futures and PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She works with Dr. Alexander Fiks, and Dr. Brain Jenssen on multiple primary care-based projects aimed at improving pediatric care and health outcomes. She also works with The Possibilities Project, which uses innovative ideas to identify, test, and scale projects focused on improving care delivery and child/family health and wellness across the Care Network.
She has previously worked as a Data Manager for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, concentrating on HIV surveillance. Her work included managing surveillance data from various CDC funded HIV related projects, assisting with emergency health responses to outbreaks and driving the development and implementation of interventions aimed at reducing disease transmission.
Ngwi received her Master’s of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from Drexel University School of Public Health. Prior to her master’s program, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
