Background

Meghan Walker, RN, BSN, CPN, is a registered nurse with the Division of Neurology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

After graduating from Villanova University in 2008, she started her nursing career at CHOP on the inpatient Neurology floor. While on 9 South, Meghan took a special liking to the ketogenic diet patients and their families. From the inpatient side, she would help get the families settled, educate them on their glucometers, CPR, etc. Her love of the diet was noticed by other nurses on the floor who looked to her as a resource for all things keto.

Meghan’s newest endeavor includes sharing her time between the inpatient and outpatient keto world, working with the Dietary Treatment Program as a clinical nurse expert. One of things that Meghan enjoys the most about her new opportunity is getting to see the patients and their families at follow-up appointments and hearing how well they are doing.
