Overview
This home study course will consist of 14 hours of asynchronous content and a brief post module assessment for the participant to complete. Topics chosen for this course were selected to support the Description of Specialty Practice for Pediatric Physical Therapy and include:
- Gross motor and gait development
- Orthopedics
- Sports medicine
- Oncology
- Wounds and burns
- Early intervention and school setting
- Traumatic brain injury
- Cerebral palsy
- Spinal cord injury
- Spina bifida
- Muscular dystrophy
- Spinal muscle atrophy
- Congenital heart defects
- Cystic fibrosis
- Neonatology
- Assistive technology and adaptive seating
- Research and evidence based practice
Registration
The conference will be an asynchronous event. Course content will be available Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, and the post-modules assessments must be completed by Friday, Dec. 13, 2024. The platform will remain open for reviewing modules through Friday, March 28, 2025. The registration fee is $249 for early registration by Sunday, June 30, 2024, and $299 on or after Monday, July 1, 2024. Registration must be received by Friday, Nov. 15, 2024. This course is appropriate for PTs and PTAs.
