This half-day program will provide primary care pediatricians and advanced practice providers with the most up-to-date information on a variety of common pediatric issues and current research. By the end of the conference, attendees will be able to choose evidence-based antibiotics for common infections, critique the top journal articles from 2023, identify pediatric rashes, and explain and implement common screening guidelines, such as hearing, vision, and lipids. The speakers represent experts from across Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and other acclaimed national speakers in an interdisciplinary education model that highlights primary care experts alongside subspecialists and other care providers.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify common pediatric rashes that can be managed within primary care.
- Implement evidence-based guidelines for prescribing antibiotics and identify appropriate duration of antibiotics for each infection.
- Implement screening guidelines within the constraints of a busy, primary care practice with respect for health equity and value-based care.
