Overview

This one-day program will provide primary care pediatricians and advanced practice providers with the most up-to-date information on a variety of common pediatric issues and current research. By the end of the conference, attendees will be able to identify action steps in promoting climate-friendly practices, critique the top journal articles from 2021, and explore opportunities for partnering with schools. The speakers represent experts from across Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and other acclaimed national speakers in an interdisciplinary education model that highlights primary care experts alongside subspecialists and other care providers.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Critique common pediatric topics with the lens or promoting climate-friendly practices.
  2. Explore opportunities for partnership between pediatric providers and schools in managing patients with behavioral and/or mental health diagnoses.
  3. Define how nutritional goals for pediatric athletes vary from non-athletes.
  4. Explain differences in sexual differentiation and the laboratory evaluation of these differences.
  5. Examine through interactive workshops how the team interprets common labs and procedures, perform disease-specific examinations, or evaluate adolescent health.
