Baby with Rare Heart Defect Saved by Team at CHOP

Published on

When Robyn Thome was 20 weeks pregnant with her first child, doctors noticed something concerning on her ultrasound — an enlargement around the baby’s heart. Her doctor recommended she see a specialist at the Fetal Heart Program within the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Amelia was born in the Special Delivery Unit at CHOP, and immediately underwent a cardiac catherization to help correct the heart defect.

See how Amelia is doing today in these stories from CBS3 and WCBS New York.
