Danny and Lentil CCA “WonderKid,” Daniel Pfeiffer

August 5, 2013 — Students from Memorial Middle School recently honored their peers with craniofacial differences by hosting “Choose Kind Day.” The students practiced acts of kindness and focused on raising awareness and support for kids with craniofacial conditions. The group also painted murals, compiled care packages for the Children’s Craniofacial Association’s (CCA) “WonderKids,” and purchased “Choose Kind” bracelets to benefit the CCA.

CHOP patient and CCA “WonderKid,” Daniel Pfeiffer, joined the school’s kindness day. Attending the event with him were: Diana Sweeny, the craniofacial parent liaison at CHOP; Daniel’s mother, Grace; Lindsay Condefer, owner of Lentil, the famous dog with a cleft lip and palate; and Charlene Deuber, a nurse practitioner with CHOP’s Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
