CHOP Develops an Automated Screening Tool to Identify Cancer Patients for Malnutrition

Buerger Center Good nutrition is so important for children, especially our young cancer patients as they undergo treatment to get well. A team led by Dr. Charles Phillips of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has developed the first automated pediatric malnutrition screening tool using electronic health record (EHR) data that could eventually be used to screen all kids for proper nutrition.
