Earth Day Event at CHOP's Rooftop Garden

May 8, 2014 — At The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, staff and patients celebrated Earth Day by planting and playing in the Sea Garden on the rooftop of Children’s Seashore House.
Patients and families soaked up some rays while they made bug-themed sand art magnets and pom-pom critters, played soccer and basketball, and ate tasty garden-themed snacks.
Meanwhile, Hospital staff planted an apple tree that we’ll watch grow in the months to come.
It was a great way to kick off the 2014 Sea Garden season. Thank you to everyone who made this great Earth Day possible!
