Background

Heather L. Meluskey, CPNP-AC, MSN, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University and subsequently her Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Acute/Chronic Program, from the University of Pennsylvania.

Heather started her nursing career in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit participating in bedside care, patient education, QI initiatives and preceptor duties. She than transferred out of the CICU to a Cardiothoracic transplant nurse coordinator and subsequently the Pulmonary Hypertension Coordinator. With this experience, Heather returned to school and received her certification as a Nurse Practitioner. She joined the pulmonary hypertension team as an Advanced Practice Provider.

Heather took some time away from the clinical arena to spend with her family.  She maintains a connection to pediatrics through being a school nurse.

Heather has presented posters at many national and international conferences ranging from “Then Impact of Dance for Health” to “Sildenafil use in Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension.”
