If your child has been diagnosed with cancer, they might be struggling with issues like managing symptoms, coping with treatment side effects and overall quality of life. You might be looking for options to help your child that can be used alongside traditional medicine. Integrative health is a term to describe this combination of conventional and complementary therapies.

At CHOP, our Integrative Health Program provides these services. We address the medical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of health and illness. These are examples of the practices we offer:

  • Acupuncture
  • Aromatherapy
  • Massage therapy
  • Yoga

We understand the value of treating the whole child. We are here to answer your questions and support all aspects of your child’s well-being.

How we serve you

We are focused on offering integrative therapies that are evidence-based. Please note that there is no evidence that integrative therapies can cure cancer or cause remission. A child still needs conventional medical treatment for cancer. Certain integrative therapies not included here can interfere with cancer treatment and may have risks. Talk with your healthcare providers before starting any integrative therapy on your own.
