Eighteen months ago, the Office of Endocrinology and Diabetes welcomed Rachel Walega to their team as a Clinical Research Project Manager. There, Rachel works on projects in Cystic Fibrosis related diabetes, Down syndrome and bone fragility.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) today announced the completion of its 100th home renovation for families enrolled in the Community Asthma Prevention Plus (CAPP+) Program.

CHOP Clinical Research Coordinator, David Isaacs, gives back to the community by participating in CHOP's Covid-19 Vaccine Program, helping to immunize more than 19,000 personnel at schools and early childhood education/daycare centers across Philadelphia.

Supported by a second philanthropic gift from Reed Smith, CHOP will be able to offer pro bono legal services to select families receiving care at its South Philadelphia Primary Care Center.

Today, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) announced its inaugural Healthier Together Grants, which will fund two community-based programs that tackle food insecurity. The recipients of the Healthier Together Grants will receive funding over the next two years to execute their vision in West and Southwest Philadelphia and fulfill Healthier Together’s mission of addressing the social factors that influence children’s health and well-being.

Thanks to funding from the CHOP Cares EXCEL Grant program, the Healthy Hearing Community Education Program (HHCEP) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was able to screen nearly 200 children in Delaware County for hearing loss during the 2020-2021 school year, against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
