Pediatric Urologic Oncology Program

At Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), our pediatric urologic oncology team cares for children with tumors of the kidneys, bladder, prostate, pelvis or reproductive organs. Our specialists work closely with pediatric oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists and nephrologists. We meet with families to build a treatment plan based on your child’s age, tumor type and medical needs. That plan may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation or a combination of treatments.

We provide coordinated medical and emotional support, with nurse practitioners, social workers and psychologists available throughout care. We also prioritize long-term health, including fertility preservation. CHOP’s Fertility Preservation Program offers options to help protect your child’s future ability to have a family. We aim to give each child best possible care and long-term follow-up.
