Sarah Clark Stoney, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia specializing in medical social work with children, adolescents, and young adults affected by rare and complex neurological disorders. She earned her Master of Social Work in 2014 and joined the Division of Neurology at CHOP the same year. Sarah works closely with patients and families to navigate complex medical systems, access resources and supports, advocate within schools and communities, and cope with the emotional realities of chronic neurological disease. With more than a decade of experience supporting families impacted by leukodystrophies, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis (MS), and other neuroinflammatory conditions, she is passionate about rare disease advocacy and psychosocial care across the lifespan. Sarah has presented nationally on topics related to psychosocial care, transition to adult care, caregiver and family support, healthcare literacy, and rare disease communities.
