Ms. Timko, a pediatric nurse practitioner, has been with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) since 1993. She worked in the Division of Oncology as both a Registered Nurse and as a Nurse Practitioner in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. Cathy joined the Global Patient Services (GPS) team in 2012.
As Director of the GPS team, Cathy provides leadership to GPS team members and oversight of daily operations including coordination of care for international patients beginning with new patient referrals, clinical case reviews and communication with accepting clinicians for care at CHOP, while ensuring timely financial clearance, concierge services and family support, efficient patient care coordination and ultimate safe discharge of the patient.
Cathy enjoys working with families from all over the world and strives to improve the care and services they receive to ensure patient and family satisfaction.
