Background

Dr. Alcamo is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she obtained both her MD and MPH degrees. Dr. Alcamo completed pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) where she also served as chief resident. She then completed her pediatric critical care medicine fellowship as well as an NIH T32 scholarship in neurointensive care and resuscitation science at the University of Pittsburgh. She joined as faculty in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in 2019. Her research focuses on the impact of acute brain dysfunction during pediatric sepsis on patient outcomes.
