About Shyam Jayant Deshpande, MD, FAAP
Dr. Deshpande graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed a pediatrics internship and residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program, subsequently serving as Chief Resident in pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital. He then completed additional residency training in Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at the University of Washington, followed by subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine as well as Pediatric Anesthesiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Deshpande’s scholarly interests include pediatric trauma, trauma-induced coagulopathy, emergency and mass casualty preparedness, as well as procedural education.
