About Rosalind Usher, MD

Rosalind Usher, MD, MPH, is a passionate developmental pediatrician who joined the Trisomy 21 Program and Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in Spring 2024.

Dr. Usher's journey into pediatrics began at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, where she completed her undergraduate studies with a keen interest in child development and sociology. She then pursued her medical degree and pediatric residency training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. While at Morehouse, Dr. Usher honed her skills and discovered her passion – working with children with developmental differences.

Following her residency, Dr. Usher returned north to CHOP, where she completed a fellowship in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP). This experience helped refine her ability to provide comprehensive care to children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Never one to stop learning, Dr. Usher also earned her master’s in public health from the University of Pennsylvania, further deepening her understanding of population health and healthcare disparities.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Usher finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends, cherishing every moment of laughter and connection, and cheering for her Atlanta sports teams. As a proud pet parent, she also delights in dressing up her cat in adorable Halloween costumes, bringing smiles to all who encounter her furry companion.

With her warm demeanor and dedication to compassionate care, Dr. Usher embodies the spirit of approachability and empathy, making her an asset to the CHOP community. She looks forward to partnering with parents and patients alike, providing support and guidance every step of the way.
