Childhood-Onset Systemic Lupus Erythematosus for the Pediatrician

Approximately 20% of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) develops prior to 18 years of age, and the diagnosis can take years. The purpose of the Teaching Fellows in Lupus Project (TFLP) is to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of prescribing clinicians to recognize the signs and symptoms of lupus, form a differential diagnosis, and make appropriate referrals to Rheumatology.
