The sounds created by an MRI machine can be intimidating for some children as they do not know what to expect. Many parents and caregivers find it helpful to prepare their child prior to their scheduled MRI appointment by having their child lie still on a flat surface while playing the sounds you might hear while inside an MRI machine.
