CHOP staff and leadership are proud of the Hospital’s efforts to improve the lives of children and their families — right in their own communities. The newly published Community Benefit Report, “Better Together,” allows CHOP to publicly demonstrate the dedication of our colleagues to improve the health and wellness of children and highlight some of the contributions the Hospital has made to the broader community over the past fiscal year.

CHOP has built partnerships with community organizations, local schools, corporate partners, private foundations and individual philanthropists to create and sustain more than 50 community programs that reach thousands of children.

This year’s report highlights the Hospital’s $475 million in contributions to our community during the last fiscal year, including the opening of our Karabots Pediatric Care Center in West Philadelphia. The Karabots Center brings many of our community programs under one roof, including Early Head Start, Kids Smiles, Reach Out and Read and our Refugee Health Program.
