Held on June 8, CHOP’s second annual Community Day was a tremendous success, with over 100 people in attendance. The event was an opportunity for the public, community leaders and CHOP employees to learn more about the work we are doing outside of the walls of the Hospital to promote health and wellness for children and families in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey.
The morning was filled with networking, oral presentations, and poster presentations by community programs to bring together community leaders with CHOP employees doing work in the community. Projects highlighted during the morning included the Stop IPV Program, Community Asthma Prevention Program, Sidewalk CPR program, Hip Hop for Philly, Kohl’s Injury Prevention Programs, among many others.
A sincere thank you to everyone who presented and attended the event.
Please contact Sarah Gibbons, Community Relations Director, if you have any questions about the event or CHOP’s community work, in general.
