CHOP Autism Expert Interviewed for Public Health Minute

Susan Levy, MD, director of the Regional Autism Center at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, was a guest on Public Health Minute with William Latimer, where she discussed the importance of early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Research shows that early diagnosis is associated with lower family stress and greater access to effective treatment. Dr. Levy talked about how families can work with their with pediatrician early on to monitor their child’s development and screen for autism as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
