CHOP Multicultural Professionals Network Helps Kids Prepare for School As kids prepared to head back to school in August, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Multicultural Professionals Network, a Hospital employee resource group, in partnership with CHOP’s Homeless Health Initiative, gathered school supplies and loaded up 240 backpacks which were handed out at an event at the Karabots Primary Care Center in West Philadelphia.

In addition, more than 10 boxes of school supplies were delivered to four homeless shelters in the West Philadelphia area. Children and their families who attended received the supplies, in addition to vegetable cooking demonstrations, tours of the new Karabots garden, fun activities, and health-related information from CHOP partners and programs.
