Community Health and Literacy Center artist rendering CHOP and the City of Philadelphia have partnered to build a state-of-the-art Community Health and Literacy Center set to open in spring 2016 in South Philadelphia. The Center, built by The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on city-owned land, will house a city health center, CHOP primary care practice, recreation facility, playground and library all in one city block.

The partnership has garnered national attention, with presentations about the project at annual meetings of the Children’s Hospital Association and the Opportunity Finance Network. The Build Healthy Places Network recently highlighted the project. Read an in-depth article and watch a video about the project.
