As awareness of autism increases in communities across the country, so do the number of businesses seeking to adapt their services to better suit the needs of clients with autism. From hair dressers to eye doctors, dentists, and even retail stores, business owners are seeking guidance and training to make sure their clients, patients or customers with autism have a smoother and more enjoyable experience. Judi Miller, PhD, MS, senior scientist and Training Director in the Center for Autism Research at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), talks about this trend in the Philadelphia Inquirer, including some workshops CHOP offers for professionals through its Center for Autism Research.
