KATC Louisiana Features Spina Bifida Fetal Surgery Patient

When Kellie Luke was 19 weeks pregnant, she and her husband Alan learned that their unborn son had spina bifida. Kellie traveled to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from the family’s home in Louisiana, where she and baby Adam underwent fetal surgery to repair the birth defect.
Today, two-year-old Adam Luke continues to fight back against his condition and anything else that tries to stand in his way. KATC Louisiana featured the Luke family’s experiences in an October 2013 news story.
