Lancaster Online Features CHOP Fetal Patients

May 30, 2014 — Before they were born, identical twins, Aspen and Ainsley Jones, developed a life-threatening condition called twin-twin transfusion syndrome, which can occur in identical twins who share a placenta.

The twins’ mother, Rochelle, underwent fetal surgery at CHOP's Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment. In the surgery, expert doctors disconnected some of the blood vessels the girls shared on their placenta, and later delivered the girls — full term and healthy! 

On May 1, 2014, Ainsley and Aspen were just two of the patient models who walked the runway and modeled Zac Posen designs at the Annual Daisy Day Fashion Show and Luncheon.
