New Jersey state election

In New Jersey, the fall 2014 election brought no changes to state senators or assembly members representing CHOP locations. CHOP’s Office of Government Affairs, Community Relations & Advocacy continues to monitor policy issues in the state including facility licensure and data access.

A large portion of our work at the state level in New Jersey is focused on “network adequacy” to ensure that CHOP is not excluded from insurance products offered in the New Jersey Insurance Marketplace. It is crucial that children in New Jersey have access to CHOP physicians and specialists in order to get the care they need.

Congressional election news

All changeovers in congressional seats in New Jersey were a result of former members either resigning or not seeking re-election.

New U.S. Congress members representing New Jersey include:

  • U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross (D-NJ)
  • U.S. Rep. Thomas MacArthur (R-NJ)
  • U.S. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ)
