New Study Breaks Down Rate of ACL Injuries by Gender and Sport

The number of children and teens suffering ACL tears is on the rise. In fact, a recent study conducted by researchers at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) indicates we’re seeing more injuries today than ever before. The reason? Kids are playing more sports. And it turns out girls are suffering more ACL tears than boys are.

In the new study, published in the American Academy of Pediatrics, CHOP researchers found that certain sports are most likely to see injuries.
