The Academy for Resuscitation of Children (ARC) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is a pioneering cardiac arrest and resuscitation science training and implementation center dedicated exclusively to children.

The center’s mission includes:

  • Creating, establishing and sharing evidence-based resuscitation guidelines
  • Pioneering new life-saving interventions to improve survival rates and quality of life
  • Advancing and supporting new discoveries in pediatric arrest prevention, preparation and resuscitation practices
  • Leading research and innovative training
  • A relentless commitment to extraordinary care and global collaboration

Our collaborative partnerships – at CHOP and around the world – bridge many disciplines. Our diversity incorporates the best in education, quality improvement and research. The core of ARC’s purpose is to save more children’s lives and to improve the quality of life for children everywhere.

How we serve you

Our program – in collaboration with leading institutions around the world – has developed next generation interventions, training materials and programs highlighting best practices in pediatric resuscitation. We share this information through workshops, presentations, external site visits and scholar exchange programs.
