We also consult on patients with undiagnosed multisystem diseases and those with fever of unknown origin.
Our Lupus Integrated Nephritis Clinic seeks to improve the quality of patient care by integrating treatment across areas of specialty into one patient visit. The clinic will minimize the number of visits a child and family must schedule throughout the year, and increase communication across specialists.
During your child's consultation, we may offer intra-articular corticosteroid injections to treat arthritic joints. We can also arrange referrals for physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychiatry and pain management.
Our Division conducts extensive research into the causes and cure of autoimmune disease, including lupus, Henoch-Schonlein purpura and juvenile arthritis. If your child is eligible to participate in a study we may approach you at the time of your visit to participate. Please view this opportunity as a chance to help impact the treatment of not only your child but of many other children with the same condition.
The Division of Rheumatology educates and trains pediatric rheumatology fellows.
