Background

Dr. Morgan is a graduate of Binghamton University of the State University of New York, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Cell and Molecular Biology. He earned his MD from New York University School of Medicine and a Master’s in Translational Research from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed pediatrics residency training at Columbia University/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, followed by pediatric critical care medicine fellowship training at CHOP.

Dr. Morgan is currently an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Dr. Morgan’s research focus is on pediatric cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, with an emphasis on cardiac arrest physiology and the tailoring of resuscitation therapies to individual patients. He conducts both laboratory and clinical studies in pediatric resuscitation, and is involved in cardiac arrest quality improvement at the local and national levels.
