Christie Osborne, MD, MSCS, is a graduate of the University of San Diego and the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she obtained her MD and MSCS. She completed pediatrics residency, pediatric infectious diseases fellowship, and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children's Hospital of Colorado. She joined faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in 2023 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Critical Care, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, as well as an attending physician in the CHOP pediatric intensive care unit.
Dr. Osborne's research has focused on evaluation of microbiologic diagnostic testing, and her fellowship research projects focused on evaluation of diagnostic testing for lower respiratory tract infections in critically ill children with respiratory failure requiring prolonged mechanical ventilation. Additionally, she participated in multiple outbreak investigations and was the primary author for the protocol for evaluation of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children associated with SARS-CoV-2 at Children's Hospital Colorado. She plans to continue research in evaluation of diagnostics related to lower respiratory tract infection in children as she begins her faculty career.
