I provide outpatient care for Cancer Center patients at CHOP’s Pediatric and Adolescent Specialty Care Center in King of Prussia, PA.
At our King of Prussia Specialty Care Center, Cancer Center patients and their families receive the same services and care offered at the Main Campus in Philadelphia in a convenient suburban location. They have access to comprehensive psychosocial services, the latest clinical trials, and expert care from diagnosis and treatment through long-term follow-up. Our close-knit staff focuses on providing the most state-of-the-art care in a supportive, family-centered atmosphere, and we get to know each patient and family very well. Families that live in the King of Prussia area and in other suburban communities tell us they appreciate having the resources of a world-renowned cancer center right in their own backyard.
My work at Children’s Hospital is especially meaningful to me because it allows me to combine my passion for clinical care with my interest in community outreach. In addition to treating children with all types of cancer, including leukemia, lymphomas, sarcomas and other solid tumors. I meet with referring doctors to provide information about Children's Hospital’s clinical services. I also lead educational sessions for physicians in surrounding communities, helping them learn how to recognize pediatric cancers and giving them other useful information that they can use in their own practices.
For me, providing excellent care means building strong relationships – with the other members of the Cancer Center team, with colleagues at nearby hospitals, and, most importantly, with the patients and families I care for.
