April Is Autism Awareness Month

Published on

Autism awareness 1 in 68 Every day, a large team of people across CHOP works tirelessly to provide resources and support for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

Coming together from across the institution — the Autism Integrated Care Program, the Center for Autism Research, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Neurology, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Child Life, and the Autism Family Partners — this dedicated group collaborates to teach skills and strategies and seek new solutions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

CHOP turns Blue for Autism Throughout the month of April, CHOP will turn the lights of its buildings blue in recognition of autism awareness. We’ll also be sharing facts about autism and autism-specialized services to spread the word and raise awareness in the community about the resources available to individuals and families living with ASD.

Keep an eye on TV monitors and CHOP news channels for more information, and help us spread the word by sharing facts, resources and events with your friends, family and community!
