Bleeding Disorders Family Advisory Council Back in Business

Beyond Blood

It is with great excitement that we announce the resumption of the Bleeding Disorders Family Advisory Council. Our Family Advisory Council is comprised of seven parents of children with bleeding disorders, Medical Director Leslie Raffini, MD, and HTC nurse coordinator Regina Butler, RN. The primary goal of the Family Advisory Council is to promote communication between the HTC and our families and patients. It serves as a forum for family input, quality improvement and improved access to care for HTC patients and families.

The council met in October 2013 and discussed several important topics, including feedback for the HTC regarding genetic testing, newsletter content and frequency, website updates, and educational program suggestions. The council will next meet via conference call in the spring. If you have questions or suggestions that you would like the council to discuss, please contact the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center.
