Benedict Asiegbu, MD, has joined CHOP Newborn Care at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, New Jersey, as the medical director. He previously served as an attending neonatologist at CHOP Newborn Care at AtlantiCare in Pomona, New Jersey. Asiegbu earned his medical degree from University of Nigeria. He completed his pediatric residency at Harlem Hospital Center/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, a fellowship in neonatology at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, and a post-doctoral research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He also earned a master’s of public health from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Erik Brandsma, MD, recently joined CHOP’s Division of Neonatology at the Main Campus in Philadelphia. Brandsma earned his medical degree from Leiden University Medical Center in Netherlands. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He previously was an attending at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.

Neonatology fellows Tami Stuart, MD, and Elizabeth Enlow, MD, will continue work on their respective T32s and will be taking attending service at CHOP’s Main Campus in Philadelphia.
