Lung Transplant Program
Organ transplantation offers great promise for children with end-stage lung disease. Our Lung Transplant Program is known both for its excellence and for its comprehensive approach to care. We have performed more than 70 lung transplants and our outcomes are among the best in the world.
Maureen B. Josephson, DO, an attending pulmonologist in the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), has been appointed the Medical Director of the Lung Transplant Program.
The Lung Transplant Program is led by cardiothoracic transplant surgeons dedicated to lung, and heart-lung transplantation, as well as cardiothoracic surgery. They have worked extensively with the most complex pediatric cases.
