Liver disease in children is rare, but when it occurs it can affect a child’s growth, development and long-term health. The Fred and Suzanne Biesecker Pediatric Liver Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is a world leader in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pediatric liver diseases. For more than two decades, our center has provided the most skilled, compassionate and state-of-the-art care available for children with all forms of liver disease.

Our multidisciplinary team includes pediatric liver specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, nutritionists and others who work together to:

  • Quickly and accurately diagnose patients using the latest diagnostic tools
  • Provide cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments (including liver transplantation when needed)
  • Offer full support to families
