Overview

Dr. Alter will give an overview of the importance and role of the pituitary gland in children. He will describe the most common disorders which affect pituitary gland function. Current therapy of DI, prolactinoma, precocious puberty as well has hypopituitarism will be reviewed.

Objectives

  • Review the importance of pituitary function
  • Review the presentation of pituitary disease in children.
  • Discuss MRI of the pituitary correlates with clinical pituitary disease
  • Review the various disease processes which affect the pituitary
