Blood and Marrow Transplant Volumes

As one of the first pediatric transplant programs in the nation, and a national leader in pediatric blood and marrow transplant (BMT), The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia performs on average more than 60 transplants a year, in patients from newborns to young adults. As of December 2013, a total of 1,370 patients have come through the doors of the BMT unit at CHOP, and over 1,600 transplants were performed. Below is a snapshot of our blood and marrow transplant volumes.
