Podcast: An Interview with Dr. Mascarenhas

Maria R. Mascarenhas, MBBS, a pediatric gastroenterologist and nutrition specialist from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) was recently interviewed for "Ask a Pediatrician," a podcast that covers topics on parents' minds such as nutrition, stress management, sleep, living with chronic health issues and more.

Dr. Mascarenhas discussed the importance of both integrative health and nutrition in the care of all pediatric patients with podcast host Hilary McClafferty, MD, FAAP. Dr. Mascarenhas serves in several roles at CHOP including Director of the Nutrition Support Service, Section Chief of Nutrition in the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Medical Director of the Clinical Nutrition Department and Director of the Integrative Health Program.

CHOP's Integrative Health Program enhances traditional medicine with complementary therapies to address the whole patient. Therapies offered at CHOP include acupuncture, yoga, aromatherapy, massage and mindfulness.
