Optum, a leading organization that partners with payors, providers and consumers to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare, has named The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia a Center of Excellence for Congenital Heart Disease. CHOP is one of only 18 centers nationwide to achieve this distinguished designation.
The Centers of Excellence network comprises hospitals that Optum has identified as providing the highest-quality, most cost-effective care for certain complex medical conditions. Hospitals must meet rigorous clinical criteria to be part of the network, and are re-evaluated each year.
